Our Story

I'm Brett Owens, a western Wisconsin native and the owner of Mondovi Metal & Post Frame LLC. I've been building post frame structures in this area for almost ten years.
I started the company a little over five years ago because I wanted to do things my own way — show up when I say I will, do the job right, and charge a fair price.
Every project gets my personal attention, and when additional trades are needed — concrete, electrical, roofing — I bring in people I've worked with and trust.
If you're in the Buffalo, Eau Claire, Trempealeau, or surrounding area and you've got a project in mind, give me a call. I'm happy to talk through it.

Framing Types
Not sure which framing method is right for your project? Post frame and stud frame each have their strengths. Here's a quick breakdown — and if you're still not sure, just call. That's what I'm here for.
Post Frame
Post frame construction uses large, engineered columns set into the ground or anchored with brackets — creating a strong, cost-effective structure with wide-open interior spans. It's the go-to choice for agricultural buildings, garages, shops, and more. Versatile, durable, and faster to build than traditional methods.
Stud Frame
Stud framing is the traditional method used in most residential construction — vertical wood studs spaced evenly to support walls, insulation, and finishing. If your project calls for a more conventional home build or requires specific interior finishing standards, stud frame may be the right fit.

Quality Craftsmanship
I've been doing this long enough to know that shortcuts always cost more in the long run — yours or mine. Every project gets the same attention to detail whether it's a small storage shed or a large ag building. I take pride in the work, and I'm not done until it's done right.
Custom Solutions
Every property is different and every customer needs something a little different. I'll talk through what you're trying to accomplish, take a look at the site if needed, and build something that actually fits how you're going to use it. No cookie-cutter quotes, no unnecessary upsells.
Trusted Subcontractors
When a project calls for additional trades — concrete, electrical, roofing — I bring in people I've worked alongside for years. I'm not pulling names off a list. These are folks I trust to show up and do the job the same way I would.
Fair & Honest Pricing
You'll get a straight quote from me. I'm not going to lowball you to win the job and make it up later. I'd rather tell you upfront what something costs and have you make an informed decision than surprise you halfway through a build.
